DR AMANDA MCKINNEY, PSYD | LICENSED CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST

Dr. Amanda McKinney is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in Illinois and Indiana (and over 40 states through PSYPACT), specializing in psychological assessment, LGBTQ-affirming therapy, and WPATH letter-writing. She serves as the lead psychologist at Synapse, providing supervision and oversight of all evaluations.

ALYSH OETZEL, MS, CCC-SLP | SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST

Alysh Oetzel is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist specializing in functional communication, language processing, speech sound disorders, and AAC. She uses evidence-based approaches and a connection-focused style to empower clients of all ages to express their unique voices.

MEGAN JOY BATES, PSYD | School Psychologist

Megan Bates is a School Psychologist with over 30 years of experience in school settings working with children with special needs. She provides psychoeducational evaluations and other testing services under the direct supervision of Dr. McKinney. She also supports families navigating school challenges, IEPs, and 504 plans.

Breanna is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who offers trauma-informed, client-centered therapy for individuals of all ages. She specializes in supporting clients with PTSD, anxiety, depression, grief, and life transitions. She integrates CBT, DBT, and mindfulness. Her compassionate, affirming presence creates a safe space for healing.

Kristin Glenn

KRISTIN GLENN, LCPC, ATR-BC, NCC

Kristin is a board certified art therapist and licensed clinical professional counselor.. Kristin specializes in working with young adults with complex learning disabilities - ADHD, ASD, learning disabilities, anxiety, depression, and believes in a collaborative, person-centered approach.

CASEY HUFF, MA, LCPC

Casey is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor who offers services to older adolescents (16+) and adults. Her person-centered approach integrates evidence-based practices such as CBT, solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness to support clients through life transitions, build resilience, and develop effective coping strategies.

Rhysalin is a MA-CMHC graduate working toward LCMH licensure under the direct supervision of Breanna Turner, MSW, LCSW. Rhysalin is committed to providing for the mental health needs of clients aged 18 and older. She enjoys treating depression, anxiety, grief, and working within the LGBTQIA+ community.

Zach is a School Psychologist who is committed to helping children and other individuals who are struggling in school or other settings by providing them with the necessary resources to be successful. He provides psychoeducational evaluations and other testing services under the direct supervision of Dr. McKinney.

Adam McKinney

Practice Manager & Psychometrist

ADAM MCKINNEY, BS, MAT

Adam oversees daily operations, coordinates scheduling, manages client communications, assists with billing and insurance processes, and ensures the office runs smoothly. He is also trained in administration and scoring for psychological testing and serves as a Psychometrist for Dr. McKinney.
