Adam McKinney, BA, MAT

Adam brings over a decade of experience in education to his role as Practice  Manager and Psychometrist at Synapse Collaborative. Prior to joining our team, he taught high school Chemistry, Anatomy, and Physical Science for 13 years at Harrisburg and Marion High Schools. His background in science and organization makes him a natural fit for supporting our interdisciplinary practice.

As Practice Manager, Adam oversees daily operations, coordinates scheduling, manages client communications, assists with billing and insurance processes, and ensures the office runs smoothly and efficiently. He is often the first point of contact for our clients and plays a key role in creating a welcoming and supportive environment.

As a Psychometrist, Adam administers and scores psychological tests and evaluations under the direct supervision of Dr. Amanda McKinney.

Adam is a proud graduate of Southern Illinois University Carbondale and currently lives in Carbondale with his two dogs, Patty and Ramona, and his partner, Alysh. Outside of work, he enjoys hiking, live music, spending time with family, and collecting and watching classic VHS tapes.
